REP. KATRINA PIERSON COMMEMORATES SINE DIE & NEW DISTRICT OFFICE
AUSTIN, TX — State Representative Katrina Pierson (HD-33) today reflected on the close of the 89th Legislative Session, highlighting gains for Collin and Rockwall Counties while pledging to press forward on unfinished business.
“Voters sent me to Austin with a clear mandate: pass school choice, protect innocent life, and secure our border and elections,” Pierson said. “This session we expanded property-tax relief, safeguarded Texas land from foreign adversaries, strengthened election integrity, fought for the unborn, supported border security, and delivered school choice to thousands of children across Texas.”
Pierson noted personal victories that include successfully amending the state budget, steering legislation to the Governor’s desk, and sponsoring election integrity legislation from the Senate. Yet, she emphasized that “there is still work to be done.”
“We must deliver a permanent fix for skyrocketing property taxes and put them on a path to elimination, advance the full Republican Party platform, and halt the growth of government in Austin,” she added.
Although the Legislature has adjourned, Rep. Pierson’s highlights her new district office to help constituents with any issues and to collect feedback for the 90th Legislature.
Representative Pierson is also proud to announce the appointment of Aimee Norton as District Director for House District 33. Norton, a Rockwall resident and committed conservative, brings a strong blend of experience and community dedication to the role.
With a background in corporate retail and as a local realtor, she has also been a civic leader since 2012—founding a women’s group to boost government engagement, co-founding the Rockwall Women Scholarship Fund, and serving as Treasurer and Local Government Committee Chair for the Rockwall County Republican Party. Raised in a military family with a son in the U.S. Army, Norton’s faith and passion for service make her an ideal advocate for the district.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Aimee and open our new district office, located in the historic old courthouse building. We stand ready to serve every resident of District 33 and to keep Texas on a path to greater prosperity. We are just getting started.” Pierson said.
